Bath should be taken by lukewarm water

According to the old myth cold, water increase menstrual pain so a bath should be taken from lukewarm water. But there are no scientific reasons behind this myth. The pain arises due to contractions of the uterus muscles and the uterus sheds its wall. Hot or lukewarm indeed gives relief from pain but there is no harm in taking a bath from cold also.

Yoga Asanas and exercise can increase pain –

This is also a myth If you are doing regular yoga and exercise then it will minimize your pre-menstrual problem and blood loss during this time. Yoga maintains our hormones and keeps us fit mentally and physically. But physical exertion should be avoided during these days. These days normal exercise and yoga give you relief from menstrual pain.

According to doctors, menstrual pain is hereditary it is more in teenagers but starts diminishing as age increases. Or the intensity of pain decreases after pregnancy. But 80%-90% of women have premenstrual symptoms like heaviness in the breast, feeling of nausea, acidity, lower abdominal pain, on the first day. Every woman should eat healthy food.
