Ganesh Chaturthi 2021- Follow these rules if you are bringing Ganpati Bappa at home.

This article consists of the importance and reason behind celebrating the Ganesh Chaturthi. This article also contains the mythology behind celebrating this day. India is a hub of religious festivals. On the day of Ganesh Chaturthi, the whole atmosphere unites and form one being and welcome the arrival of Ganesh Ji by spreading its arms for welcoming the awaited guest with the spirit of joy and happiness. It is the day on which we celebrate the anniversary of Lord Ganesha by bringing the idol home. It is a festival for 10 days.
In these 10 days, the devotees should remain pious mentally and physically by adopting some rules and regulations for the proper fulfilment of worship. On this day the birthday of Lord Ganesha is celebrated on the belief that he arrived from Kailash parvat. On this day the devotees bring Lord Ganesha’s idol at home by following certain rituals. In these 10 days, Bappa is treated as a guest and cannot be left alone in the home. Indians are very spiritual that they treat every guest as a God. So attendant should remain at home to serve Bappa. Ganesh Ji has 12 names and 32 forms.
The idol of Ganpati has many colours and every colour has its significance like white colour signifies happiness peace and prosperity and vermilion colour implies self-growth mostly the people bring the idol of white colour. The posture of Ganesha should be according to the Vastu Vidhya an idol of Ganesha should be facing right. While bringing Lord Ganeshas idol at home we should remember the Bahamas a mouse should be a part of it. The mouse is a symbol of omnipresent.

We have to notice in our mind before bringing the Bappa murti at Home:–

The trunk of Lord Ganesha’s should be on the left.
We should not do the things when we bring Bappa home
Before bringing Bappa home we should clean our house and take bath and wear clean clothes. We should not wear dark colour clothes like black. We should wear clothes of red and yellow colour
We should not serve Tulsi leaf in front of Lord Ganesha.
We should not watch the moon on Ganesh Chaturthi.
When we bring Lord Ganesha idol at home the face of it should be not be uncovered, it should be covered
The arrival of Lord Ganesha is like a celebration. After doing staples at home we should decorate Ganesha with Kumkum, Akshat, Chandan, yellow and red attire, flowers and sparkling jewellery. Then we should light the lamp of ghee and serve Modak to the idol and perform aarti by chanting various mantras with the chiming of the bell.
We should not eat Tamsik food till the Vsarjan.

We should do the things:
1 When we go to bring Ganesha it should be like a celebration till the day of immersion. Actually, the arrival and the immersion is the symbolism of death and rebirth of Bappa by putting the elephant head on it. Ganesha is considered to be e worship first to get the blessing of other gods. On the day of arrival, everyone should take bath and wear clothes of yellow and red colour. The arrival of Ganesha should be like a newlywed bride i.e by beating drums dancing singing. The whole atmosphere echoes the sound of Ganpati Bappa Morya. Before the sathapana we should clean the Ganesha idol by sprinkling gangaal on it and putting yellow and red clothes on it with the jewellery of gold sprinkling with diamonds engraved in it.
2 Then we should put Kumkum and Akshat as a Tilak on his forehead. Then we should put pure thread from the left shoulder to the right.
3 Then we serve durva and flowers to the idol of Lord Ganesha then we offer Modak as a Prasad and after it we chant mantras specially Vedic mantras from Pran pratishtha of Lord Ganesha and at the end, we do aarti accommodated with the chiming of bells. The basic thing in the Puja or worship of the god is devotees feeling and purity by soul and mind.
4 So we should follow certain rules to remain pious. We should eat satvik food and regularly clean our house for or 10 days till the visarjan of Ganesha’s idol and avoid any kind of gambling, cheating, abusing and drinking alcohol. We should follow all the norms in every things.
5 Satvik food controls all our senses and keep our body and soul with the feeling of peace in our body.
6 every day after making food you will have to offer to Bappa than whole family will have the food. This should be offered daily. It can be any sweet dish made in the home aur can be from the market. We should also remember to bring the vahani.e the mouse of Lord Ganesha along with the the idol of it.
7 These vahan indicates the removing of obstacles in our life and brings prosperity health and wealth.
8 We should daily offer the new flowers and durva to Bappa before doing Aarti. Aarti should be perform morning and night everyday till the day of visharjan.
9 We can’t leave the idol of Ganesha alone somebody should always be with them as an attendant because Bappa is like a guest of our family.

The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi symbolises the cycle of birth, life and death.
The reason behind following these rituals is to inherit the moral values as a conventional value to our offspring.
